The BA in Business Administration at Berlin International provides a strong foundation for a dynamic career in the global business world. Choose between two focus areas: International Management and Marketing or Data Science and Business.

The International Management & Marketing focus equips you for careers in multinational corporations, startups, or consultancy firms. You’ll gain analytical skills, leadership abilities, and insights into global business practices, preparing you for roles like marketing executive, business analyst, or consultant.

EU Citizen

  • Tuition Fee: 675 EUR per month, monthly installment
  • Registration Fee: 250 EUR (one-time, non-refundable)

Non-EU Citizen

  • Tuition Fee: 4,190 EUR per semester, payable per semester
  • Registration Fee: 600 EUR (one-time, non-refundable)

BAföG – Government Loans for German Students

German students and certain international students who have lived in Germany for several years can apply for BAföG, a government-backed loan that only partially requires repayment. For eligibility and application details, visit the BAföG Information Pages.

Other Governmental Support

Non-German citizens may be eligible for financial support from their home countries. Countries like Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands offer aid for students studying abroad. The Student Affairs team can help with required forms.

DAKA Student Loans

The DAKA Berlin, a non-profit credit union, provides additional funding for students regardless of age, income, or nationality. Learn more about DAKA.

Student Jobs

Students can work part-time while studying. Those with student visas must adhere to work restrictions (usually 140 full days or 280 half days per year). Berlin International also offers part-time positions on campus.

Courses Curriculum

At Berlin International, our Business Administration curriculum combines theory with real-world application, ensuring you develop skills tailored to today’s global workplace. In the first year, you’ll build a strong foundation in key business areas like management, marketing, and digital business, alongside essential soft skills such as teamwork and critical thinking.

 

From the third semester onward, the focus shifts to your chosen specialization.

 

Dive into topics like business ethics, entrepreneurship, and negotiation, while preparing for leadership roles in global organizations.

 

Our hands-on approach includes business simulations, role-plays, and internships, ensuring you graduate with both practical experience and the confidence to excel in your career. All programs are taught in English, preparing you for success in the global job market.

Admissions

How to Apply

You will complete your application electronically through our online portal. You will first register, then enter your personal details, and finally upload the required documents. These are:

 

- Passport
- Official Senior High School diploma with transcript (German Abitur / Fachabitur or equivalent)
- Official University certificates and transcript of grades - if applicable
- English Language Test (CEFR level B2 or above)
- Certification of the Academic Evaluation Center (APS) - for educational qualifications from China, India and Vietnam only

 

If you are still waiting for your final documents to be issued, then please submit your most recent transcript of grades as well as a statement of your predicted qualification and grades. This will allow us to process your application on a conditional basis. You will need to provide the official final certificate and transcripts when you receive them.

Dates and Application Deadlines

Start into Fall Semester 2025-26:

  • Application Period for International Students: 1st December 2024 – 30th June 2025
  • Application Period for EU Students: 1st December 2024 – 31st August 2025

New students may only start in the fall semester. Transfers into a higher academic semester may be possible in the spring semester, depending on the compatibility of previous studies with our curriculum. Berlin International offers courses on an annual basis.

Language Requirements

All programs are fully taught in English; therefore, proof of English language proficiency is required. German knowledge is not necessary.

If your English proficiency is at CEFR Level B2 or above, you may submit one of the following valid test scores:

  • TOEFL ITP: 543
  • TOEFL IBT: 74
  • IELTS (Academic): 6.0 overall
  • Cambridge FCE: B2
  • PTE Academic: 59
  • BI internal exam/BAU 'English Language Proficiency Exam': 60/100
  • IB Diploma: English A or B at HL or SL
  • German Abitur

Scores must have been earned within the last two years.

If you have not completed high school in a majority-English speaking country (USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand) or a bachelor's degree fully in English, an approved language exam is required for admission.


Preparatory School

If you do not yet meet CEFR Level B2, but fulfill other admission criteria, you can enroll in our English Preparatory School. This 1-year intensive program will help you achieve the necessary language skills before starting your degree.

Admission Requirements

To qualify for our Bachelor’s programs, applicants need the German Abitur/Fachabitur or an equivalent qualification. Foreign qualifications must meet German standards, which vary by country. Common requirements are outlined here:

Four Admission Possibilities
  • Direct General Admission – Qualified for any undergraduate subject.
  • Direct Subject-Restricted Admission – Qualified for the specific subject area previously studied.
  • Subject-Restricted Admission with Preparatory Course – Additional studies required before starting undergraduate studies.
  • Additional Proof Required – Further qualifications needed to meet admission requirements.
Preparatory Course / Additional Studies

If your current qualifications don't meet German standards, you may need a preparatory course. There are two main options:

  • Option 1: Study Time Abroad – Complete the first year of an accredited bachelor’s degree in a similar field at a university outside Germany.
  • Option 2: Studienkolleg – A German university preparatory program, typically requiring German language proficiency. Learn more here.

Note: Admission is only possible for applicants who meet these requirements. Selection depends on faculty review and seat availability.
